Over the last ten years I have developed and exhibited several bodies of work for installation, that combine various energies—light, sound, movement and heat. The works manifest a range of material and metaphorical preoccupations concerning symbolic and cultural associations with darkness/blackness, shadow and of course with light.
My practice focuses on installation work as immersive and experiential encounters—experiences that might be site specific, ephemeral, that use diverse materials and media. There is a sense an inherent performative dimension in these experiences as they presence ‘space’ and seek dialogue with ‘participants’.
